I don't know how much i can say about this movie. It's a great stuff. I think i can watch this movie for another countless times as i've no idea of the no of times i've gone through this great movie. The film does not have a single boring moment in it. It can be watched again and again with increasing returns to the viewer. And apart from that the music, oh my God!!! It's mind blowing from A R Rahman.
Rang De Basanti tells the story of young english girl, whom on finding her grandfather’s diary decides to make a film on it. A British officer of some of the more tumultuous periods of the Empire, it’s an authentic account of the final days of many of India’s young freedom fighters, and a story on many accounts - she feels should be told. On her arrival in India she stumbles upon a group of five friends; free-spirited and full of verve. Gradually the friends ponder over their roles and the lives of the selfless freedom-fighters, and in the face of a tragedy, realize that they too, like Bhagat Singh and Azad, must take action, to ensure that their now corrupt and poverty-laden country, awakens and the guilty do not go unpunished.
And the way the story is told is really good. After watching the movie you can slowly realize that it created an impact on you.
