Braveheart is the partly historical, partly mythological, story of William Wallace, a Scottish common man who fights for his country's freedom from English rule around the end of the 13th century. The directorial debut of Mel Gibson and what a movie was that!!! I've become the fan of this superb director just after knowing that Mel Gibson is the director of the movie. And in his all three movies (Apocalipto, Passion of the Christ & Brave heart) you can see the style of this extraordinarily talented person. It's always a breath holding experience to watch his special 'slow motion' scenes. As it's a normal thing in his movies, the violence and blood dripping scenes are not for the soft people. While the violence is raw, so are the emotions. There's a lot to love about the movie as it creates a feel in you. His portrayal of William Wallace, one of Scotland's most mightiest warriors, was just great, even it's been told that the movie has got some historical errors in it. But it's really not a matter considering the way that the movie is told.
